Description
151 days. 2,197.4 miles. One journey north. This is my full Appalachian Trail thru-hike documentary—from Georgia to Maine—filmed over 5 months on the trail with my Golden Doodle, Leo. Starting February 21st in freezing temperatures, ice, and rain, this hike didn’t begin easy. Most northbound Appalachian Trail thru hikes fail early in Georgia and North Carolina due to extreme elevation gain, and I found out why quickly. From brutal weather, gear failures, and illness (including Giardia), to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the United States, this journey became more than just miles. This is a story about endurance, partnership, and the reality of a thru hike—not just the highlights, but the struggle, the mistakes, and the moments that change you. If you’ve ever wondered what it really takes to hike the Appalachian Trail, or what it’s like to do it with a dog, this is the full experience. 🐕 Hiking the AT with a dog (Golden Doodle thru hike experience) 🏔️ Full Appalachian Trail documentary (Georgia to Maine) — Subscribe for more hiking, backpacking, ultralight gear testing, and real trail experiences.
